- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
- 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into cubes)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- green onion (for garnish (optional))

- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, and grated ginger. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the steak cubes for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop that flavorful brown crust. Remove the beef and set aside.
- Add the chopped onions to the skillet and cook them for 2-3 minutes until they soften and turn translucent.
- Add the soy sauce mixture and stir until combined.
- Add your beef back to the skillet and stir to combine with the onions.
- Simmer for another 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot over rice, noodles, or your favorite vegetables.
