Ingredients

  • 4 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup hemp seeds
  • ½ cup chia seeds
  • ½ cup ground flaxseed
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup coconut oil (melted)
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray (I used avocado oil spray).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: old fashioned rolled oats, hemp seeds, chia seeds, ground flaxseed, cinnamon and salt. Mix together.
  3. In a small bowl, add the coconut oil. Melt in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Add in the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry granola. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the granola evenly onto a baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove granola from the oven and sprinkle the dark chocolate on top. Let sit for 1-2 minutes to allow melting, then toss together. This will create granola clumps.
  6. Let cool completely before adding to an airtight container (you can add it to the freezer on the baking sheet to help speed up the process).
